This bench was designed for a storefront facing a local shopping avenue. Composed entirely of simple parts, its structure and how it comes together is instantly clear to anyone. The painted edges serve a dual purpose: a practical function to protect the furniture’s vulnerable joints from rain, and a design intention to inject a vibrant dash of color into the everyday landscape of the shopping avenue.

High Stool “YB02”

A high stool crafted for a communal diner. While the seats were precision-machined, the legs and stretchers consist of highly simple components, which the designers themselves assembled by hand. By designing with a clarity of construction that anyone can comprehend, the furniture nurtures the user’s connection and sense of ownership toward the venue—ultimately driving the creation of a truly sustainable place.
